Suspects Enter Occupied Long Island Home, Steal Keys, Then Cars In Driveway: Police

Police are searching for a group of suspects who stole two cars from the driveway of a Long Island home after burglarizing the occupied residence.

Three of the suspects entered the North Woodmere residence located on Jay Court through a rear door. just before 4 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, according to Nassau County Police.

They then removed two sets of car keys from inside the home before entering two of the victim’s vehicles that were parked in the driveway. 

There was an additional suspect inside of a dark colored SUV parked outside of the residence, police said. 

The two stolen vehicles and the SUV vehicle left the scene westbound on Jay Court toward Cedarhurst Street. (See image above.)

"There is no further description of the four subjects at this time," said police, noting that the investigation is ongoing.
